A certified school nurse is needed to provide comprehensive nursing services in a K-12 educational setting in Berkeley, CA. This contract position spans the full school year and involves delivering essential health services to support student well-being.

Key Responsibilities

• Manage full school nurse duties including assessment, treatment, and follow-up care for student health needs
• Conduct vision and hearing screenings for all students as part of routine health assessments
• Maintain health records and ensure compliance with school health policies and regulations
• Collaborate with school staff, families, and healthcare providers to promote a safe, healthy learning environment
• Provide health education and counseling to students as appropriate
• Respond promptly to medical emergencies and coordinate care as necessary
  
  

Qualifications

• Current Certified School Nurse (CSN) credential
• Experience working with K-12 student populations in school health settings
• Skills in conducting vision and hearing screenings preferred
• Strong communication skills and ability to collaborate with diverse teams
