Position Description
Community Home Health Services, a proud member of the Medical Services of America family, currently seeks an experienced Full-time Administrator for our Home Health team in Ft Lauderdale (Broward) FL.
This person will be responsible for organizing and directing the agency’s day to day operations according to approved policies, procedures and standards. Maintains the image of the agency in the communities the agency serves and in state and national organizations.
- Responsible for the overall operations and services of all programs of the agency. Organizes and directs the agency’s ongoing functions and day to day operations.
- Plans, coordinates, directs and controls the operations of the Agency in compliance with Board mission and directives and Conditions of Participation.
- Ensures fiscal success of the agency in compliance with Board directives.
- Keeps up-to-date on new developments as related to the Agency in regard to state and federal regulatory agencies.
- Ensures all required documentation is obtained and available pursuant to all local, state, federal and organizational guidelines.
- Assists with the recruiting, interviewing, hiring, coaching, and discipline of the sales team in accordance with the sales leadership.
- Reports monthly to the Board of Directors on regional sales performance and issues which need to be addressed to achieve goals.
- Interviews, hires, supervises, evaluates, and disciplines staff in accordance with company policies and procedures and state/federal regulations.
- Ensures all agency requirements are ready for billing and month end close.
Job Requirements:
- Licensed as Registered Nurse (RN) in state(s) serviced by the agency strongly preferred or Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in business and/or health related field required.
- Minimum of 3 years recent Medicare certified home health and/or hospice agency experience strongly preferred.
- Training and experience in health service administration and at least one year of supervisory or administrative experience in home health care and/or hospice or related health programs preferred.
- Previous budget and profit & loss statement management experience required.
- Extensive knowledge and understanding of federal & state laws and guidelines pertaining to hospice and Medicare required.
- Proven success in revenue growth and in the development and execution of market planning.
- High level management skills including conflict management, negotiation, team building, communication, budget administration and coaching/mentoring others.
