A health services network in New York City is actively seeking a licensed Registered Nurse (RN) to join one of their school-based facilities in Manhattan as a School Nurse.

About the Opportunity:

• Start Date: ASAP
• Assignment Length: Ongoing
• Schedule: Monday to Friday
• Hours: 9am to 3pm
• Patient Population: Pre-K & Kindergarten

Responsibilities:

• Treat students and staff. as needed
• Consult with Teachers, School Administrators and other school staff regarding student care
• Administer medication
• Monitor student immunization records
• Educate students and staff on health procedures
• Help students who have feeding disabilities
• Bump, bruises, scratches, headaches, etc.
• Temperature screenings for students upon arrival
• Assist students with potential COVID symptoms in isolation room and ensure all proper protocol is followed.
• Ensure proper follow up with students who are quarantined
• Perform other duties, as needed

Qualifications:

• Graduate of an accredited School of Nursing
• NJS Registered Nurse (RN) license
• BLS/CPR certification
• Knowledge of many areas of Healthcare areas, including Mental Health
• Knowledge of State Health regulations
• Solid assessment, clinical, and documentation skills
