Kaiser Permanente is hiring Seasonal Registered Nurses across multiple service areas and medical centers. These positions are non-benefited, temporary (5-month) commitments offering competitive per diem rates. Service Lines

ICU – General & Coronary Care Unit (CCU)

• Schedule: Part-Time or Full-Time, Day/Night Shifts
• Required Experience: 1 year in Critical Care OR recent completion of approved Critical Care course
• Certifications: BLS, ACLS
• Preferred: BSN

Med-Surg/Telemetry

• Schedule: Part-Time or Full-Time, Day/Night Shifts
• Required Experience in Acute care
• Certifications: BLS (AHA), Basic Arrhythmia
• Preferred: BSN

OSM – Admin Nursing

• Schedule: Part-Time or Full-Time
• Certifications: BLS (AHA), Basic Arrhythmia
• Notes: Float across departments and shifts

Transitional Care Unit (TCU)

• Schedule: Part-Time, Day or Night Shifts
• Certifications: BLS, ACLS
• Preferred: BSN

Key Responsibilities (All Roles)

• Deliver compassionate, evidence-based care using the nursing process
• Collaborate with physicians and care teams
• Provide patient and family education
• Participate in unit performance improvement initiatives
• Ensure compliance with hospital policies and safety protocols
• Chart and document effectively using digital systems
• Demonstrate flexibility, leadership, and accountability
• Support and mentor peers and new team members

Program Details

• Season Length: ~5 months (September 2025–February 2026)
• Union Status: UNAC/UHCP (initiation fee waived)
• Non-benefited: Per diem rates apply
• Holiday Coverage: Must work all but one major holiday
• Floating: May be required within related departments
• Cancellation Limit: Up to 5 cancellations per commitment

Minimum Requirements

• Active CA RN License
• Current BLS certification (AHA)
• Specialty certifications depending on service area
• Relevant recent clinical experience (see individual areas above)
