Job Title: Registered Nurse (RN) – Operating Room (OR)

Job Description

Alice Peck Day Memorial Hospital is seeking an experienced Operating Room RN for a 13-week travel assignment. This role requires both circulating and scrub experience in a fast-paced surgical environment.

Key Responsibilities

• Prepare and assist in setting up the operating room for scheduled procedures.
• Ensure accurate preparation of supplies, instruments, and special-order items.
• Safely open and dispense sterile items.
• Assess patient needs based on history, procedure type, and positioning.
• Perform sponge, sharps, and instrument counts with scrub personnel.
• Accurately document chargeable items used during procedures.
  
  

Important Notes

• Guaranteed Hours: 30 hours/week. This is firm and cannot be increased.
• Transportation: Must have personal vehicle. No public transport available in this rural area.
• Time Off Requests: All RTO must be submitted with the profile. No more than 5 days will be accepted. Late RTO requests will not be approved.

• Minimum 2 years of current OR experience – Required
• Scrub & Circulate experience – Checklist must be included
• Ortho/Neuro experience – Preferred
• EPIC EMR experience – Preferred
• Must have personal transportation
• Permanent address must be included in profile
• All RTO must be submitted at time of profile upload
