A middle school health services office is seeking a skilled School Nurse to support the care and well-being of students. This contract role offers the opportunity to work closely with a registered nurse (RN) in a combined middle school and high school setting, providing essential health services throughout the school year.

Key Responsibilities

• Collaborate directly with an RN to deliver health care services to students, including first aid, medication administration, and health assessments.
• Monitor and manage student health records and communicate effectively with staff and families regarding health concerns.
• Implement health education and promote wellness initiatives tailored to the school community.
• Respond promptly and calmly to medical emergencies or health-related incidents during the school day.
• Assist in the development and enforcement of school health policies.
  
  

Preferred Qualifications

• Current RN licensure with experience in a school setting highly desirable.
• Ability to work independently as well as part of a healthcare team.
• Strong organizational skills and attention to detail in maintaining confidential health records.
• Compassionate, patient-focused approach with excellent interpersonal communication.
