About This Team:

7 East is a 32 bed unit that specializes in Neurology, Neurosurgery, & Orthopedics. Diagnoses for our specialties include: Stroke, Traumatic Brain Injury, Epilepsy & Seizures, brain & spinal procedures, and various orthopedic post-surgical patients. In addition to our specialties, we care for general Med/Surg patients with diagnoses such as AKI, ETOH/Opioid Withdrawal, AMS/Falls, Sepsis, DKA, & CHF… and that’s just the beginning!

Responsibilities

• Provide direct nursing care in accordance with established policies, procedures and protocols of the healthcare organization.
• Implement and monitor patient care plans. Monitor, record and communicate patient condition as appropriate.
• Serve as a primary coordinator of all disciplines for well-coordinated patient care.
• Note and carry out physician and nursing orders.
• Assess and coordinate patient's discharge planning needs with members of the healthcare team.

Requirements

Licensure / Certification / Registration:

• BLS Provider obtained within 1 Month (30 days) of hire date or job transfer date required. American Heart Association or American Red Cross accepted.
• Registered Nurse license obtained for the State of Wisconsin prior to hire date required.

Education:

• Diploma from an accredited school/college of nursing required.
