Job Description:

Baptist Health is seeking a dedicated and compassionate Registered Nurse to join our team. The RN is responsible

for implementing the nursing process for patients across all ages, from infancy to geriatric, ensuring care aligns with Kentucky Nursing Laws and organizational policies. They promote positive patient outcomes and quality care while actively participating in unit-based and hospital shared governance councils to support a healthy professional environment. Following National Professional Nursing Standards, the nurse employs critical thinking, clinical reasoning, and nursing judgment, collaborating with the interprofessional team to enhance patient outcomes. Responsibilities include conducting thorough assessments and reassessments, developing individualized, evidence-based care plans with measurable goals, and coordinating care transitions with hospital and community resources. The nurse delivers patient-centered care consistent with policies, current evidence-based standards, and organizational values, implementing nursing actions safely and timely, managing emergencies, administering medications safely, and educating patients and families. They evaluate patient responses, communicate status to healthcare team members, and adjust care plans as needed with accurate documentation. Demonstrating strong organizational and leadership skills, the nurse prioritizes care, manages workload efficiently, delegates appropriately, and provides clear communication. Serving as a role model and resource, they facilitate new staff orientation, participate in governance and decision-making, engage in professional development, and integrate process improvements to optimize patient outcomes.

Minimum Education, Training and Experience Required:

• Graduate from an accredited Nursing Program
• Active state RN licensure
• BCLS required within 90 days
• ACLS required within 6 months
• PALS required within 6 months
