Registered Nurse – Operating Room (Ambulatory Surgery Center)

Location: Houston, TX

Shift: Monday–Friday, 6:30 AM – 3:00 PM

Responsibilities

·Deliver safe, high-quality perioperative nursing care across multiple service lines in an Ambulatory Surgery Center (ASC) setting, supporting surgical procedures and patient recovery.

·Conduct nursing assessments, assist with exams and treatments, and maintain accurate medical records in Epic under the supervision of nursing leadership.

·Actively participate in preoperative call processes, patient education, and coordination of care with interdisciplinary teams.

·Ensure compliance with regulatory standards and safety protocols, including reporting near misses and maintaining a hazard-free environment.

·Communicate effectively with patients, families, and surgical teams to ensure timely updates, resolve concerns, and promote a positive care experience.

·Demonstrate cultural sensitivity, professionalism, and advocacy in all patient interactions.

Qualifications:

·ASN or BSN degree

·Minimum 2 years RN experience in an Operating Room (ASC or hospital setting)

·Texas RN license

·BLS, ACLS, and PALS certifications (American Heart Association)

·EPIC proficiency and basic computer skills
