Schedule: Monday–Friday, 6:30 AM – 3:00 PM

Position Overview
We are seeking a qualified Operating Room Registered Nurse (RN) to join our Ambulatory Surgery Center (ASC) team. This contract role involves direct patient care in a fast-paced surgical environment, supporting multiple service lines and contributing to high-quality outcomes.

Position Overview
We are seeking a qualified Operating Room Registered Nurse (RN) to join our Ambulatory Surgery Center (ASC) team. This contract role involves direct patient care in a fast-paced surgical environment, supporting multiple service lines and contributing to high-quality outcomes.
Qualifications
Education
- Associate of Science in Nursing (ASN) or Bachelor of Science in Nursing (BSN)
- Minimum 2 years of RN experience in an Operating Room setting (ASC or hospital)
- Experience across multiple service lines preferred
- Active Texas RN license
- American Heart Association certifications:
- Basic Life Support (BLS)
- Advanced Cardiac Life Support (ACLS)
- Pediatric Advanced Life Support (PALS)
- Basic computer proficiency
- Experience with EPIC electronic health record system
- Deliver patient care in accordance with the Texas Nurse Practice Act
- Perform nursing assessments, assist with exams and treatments, and maintain medical records
- Provide culturally competent care and resolve routine clinical contingencies
- Ensure accurate, timely, and concise documentation
- Communicate respectfully with patients and families
- Provide clear verbal and written instructions tailored to patient understanding
- Maintain unit readiness, stock supplies, and participate in preoperative call processes
- Perform additional duties as assigned by nursing leadership
- Adhere to regulatory and professional standards
- Modify and coordinate care for complex patients in collaboration with ASC team
- Report near misses and participate in performance improvement initiatives
- Comply with local, state, federal, and accreditation guidelines
- Maintain a safe work environment by identifying and reporting hazards
- Communicate delays and updates to families and team members
- Prioritize care based on patient needs and advocate for patient/family concerns
- Maintain professional relationships with physicians and patients
- Educate patients on ASC policies and procedures
