Job Title: Clinical RN – Surgical Care

Work Hours: Monday – Friday, 8:30 AM – 5:30 PM

Professional Certification Required: RN License

Position Overview:

The Clinical RN – Surgical Care will provide comprehensive pre-operative and post-operative care, patient education, and coordination of surgical services. This role is essential in ensuring high-quality patient outcomes and seamless care delivery in a fast-paced outpatient surgical setting.

Key Responsibilities:

• Pre-op & Post-op Care:
• Assess patients before procedures
• Prepare patients for surgery
• Monitor and manage recovery post-procedure
• Patient Education:
• Explain medical conditions, treatments, and self-care instructions
• Provide guidance on post-operative expectations
• Care Coordination:
• Schedule surgeries, diagnostic tests, and specialist referrals
• Ensure timely and accurate communication with providers
• Triage & Support:
• Respond to patient calls and inquiries
• Monitor symptoms and provide clinical guidance
• Wound & Pain Management:
• Monitor healing progress
• Manage medication refills and pain control
• Documentation:
• Maintain accurate and timely entries in the EMR
• Follow clinical protocols and compliance standards

Required Qualifications:

• Active RN License
• Bachelor’s Degree in Nursing or related field
• Experience in inpatient and outpatient surgical care
• Strong clinical assessment and triage skills
• Proficiency in EMR systems and documentation

Preferred Qualifications:

• Highly organized and detail-oriented
• Strong communication and patient education skills
• Ability to work independently and collaboratively
• Experience in wound care and pain management
