A non profit located in Bronx, NY, is currently seeking a compassionate Registered Nurse for their Pediatric/Foster Care Medical Clinic. This role requires dedication to promoting the health and well-being of vulnerable youth through comprehensive care.

About the Opportunity:

• On-site
• Shift: Monday to Friday, 9 AM - 5 PM
• Schedule: Full-time
• Hours: 40 hours per week
• Setting: Pediatric/Foster Care Medical Clinic

Responsibilities:

The Registered Nurse will be responsible for:

• Providing general medical care and treatment to supported individuals onsite.
• Conducting physical examinations and preventative health measures under NP supervision.
• Conducting health evaluations, assessments, and screenings with follow-ups.
• Reviewing Pediatric guidelines for care, including immunizations and testing.
• Recording physical findings based on patients' conditions.
• Developing comprehensive patient care plans.
• Conducting medical examinations of youth after incidents.
• Providing health education to youth support, including reproductive health education.
• Administering medications.

Qualifications:

• 2+ years of experience working with pediatric patients.
• NYS Licensed Registered Nurse, BSN preferred.
• Experience in medication administration, first aid, and triage.
• Clinical and Case Management experience.
• Ability to foster a positive and encouraging attitude.
• Excellent communication skills; team collaboration experience.

Desired Skills:

• Previous experience with Foster Care, Residential, or Juvenile Justice-involved youth.
• BSN degree.
• Experience in a similar medical setting.
• Proficient in pediatric care.
• Strong interpersonal skills.
