Registered Nurse (RN) – Surgical Care

Location: Mount Kisco, NY 10549

Shift: Monday – Friday, 8:30 AM – 5:30 PM

Education Requirement: Associate’s Degree

Certification Required: Active RN License

Work Setting: On-site (no home visits or multi-site travel)

Position Summary:

Seeking a dedicated and detail-oriented Registered Nurse (RN) to join our surgical care team in Mount Kisco, NY. This role focuses on providing comprehensive pre-operative and post-operative care, patient education, and coordination of surgical services in a fast-paced clinical environment.

Key Responsibilities:

• Pre-Op & Post-Op Care:
• Assess patient readiness and recovery
• Prepare patients for surgical procedures
• Monitor post-operative healing and progress
• Patient Education:
• Explain diagnoses, treatment plans, and post-care instructions
• Empower patients with knowledge for self-care and recovery
• Care Coordination:
• Schedule surgeries, diagnostic tests, and specialist referrals
• Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams to ensure seamless care
• Triage & Support:
• Respond to patient inquiries and symptom reports
• Provide clinical guidance and support over the phone
• Wound & Pain Management:
• Monitor wound healing and manage pain medication refills
• Ensure proper documentation and follow-up
• Documentation:
• Maintain accurate and timely entries in the Electronic Medical Record (EMR)
• Adhere to clinical protocols and compliance standards

Required Qualifications:

• Active RN license in the state of New York
• Experience in inpatient and outpatient surgical care
• Strong clinical assessment and communication skills
