• Minimum Experience: 1.5 years of acute care experience
• Charge Experience: Not required
• Travel Experience: Not required
• Trauma Experience:
• Level II Trauma: Required
• Level I Trauma: Preferred
• Teaching Hospital Experience: Preferred
• Certifications Required:
• BLS
• ACLS
• PALS
• Stroke CEUs
• Trauma CEUs
• Skills Required:
• IV Therapy / Phlebotomy
• Central Line Care/Management
• CPAP/BiPAP
• Ventilator Management
• IV Vasopressors
• Dysrhythmia Management
• Triage
• Preferred Skills:
• Arterial Line Management
• Experience in Level I Trauma Center
  

Unit Information

• Patient Population: Adolescents, Adults, Pediatrics, Geriatrics
• Patient Ratio: 1:6 (Days/Nights/Weekends)
• Float Requirement: None
• Call Requirement: None
• Orientation: 2 shifts (16 hours, non-billable)
• Scrub Color: Navy Blue
• Special Notes:
• Unit has 64 beds
• Dedicated ER unit (no floating to other units)
• D-Pod includes medical and behavioral health patients
• Behavioral health patients may be on 1:1 observation pending transfer
• De-escalation training required within 14 days of start (traveler-paid, $50)
• First-time travelers accepted
