Rate: Starting at $40.00/hourly

Position Overview

• We are seeking a dedicated and compassionate Registered Nurse to join our surgical care team. This role focuses on delivering high-quality preoperative and post-anesthesia care to patients undergoing procedures in our ambulatory surgical suites. The ideal candidate will demonstrate strong assessment skills, attention to detail, and a commitment to patient-centered care.
  
  

Top Responsibilities

• Perform thorough preoperative and postoperative patient assessments.
• Enter patient information and signed consents into electronic medical records.
• Prepare surgical suites for daily procedures and ensure readiness.
• Make pre-procedure calls to patients and follow up with post-procedure calls.
• Clean and reset rooms between procedures according to infection control protocols.
• Accurately document all pertinent patient information in charts.
• Collaborate with physicians, anesthesia providers, and other clinical staff to ensure seamless care delivery.
  
  

Required Qualifications

• Registered Nurse (RN) license in the state of New York.
• Minimum of 1 year RN experience preferred; however, new RN graduates are welcome and will be trained.
• Ability to be in the suite by 6:45 AM for a 7:00 AM – 4:00 PM shift.
• Availability to work Monday through Friday.
• Preferred Skills & Attributes
• Strong bedside manner and patient care skills.
• Proficiency in IV placement and management.
• Ability to work independently and as part of a multidisciplinary team.

Travel Requirements

• Primary work locations are in Poughkeepsie and Fishkill, based on business needs.
• Occasional travel to Mt. Kisco or Carmel may be required (typically once per year).
• Rarely, nurses may be asked to travel between locations within the same shift.
