Registered Nurse – Pre/Post Procedure

Location: Poughkeepsie, NY 12601

Alternate Site: Fishkill, NY 12524

Schedule: Monday–Friday, 7:00 AM – 4:00 PM (arrival by 6:45 AM)

Position Overview:

The RN Case Manager will support pre-operative and post-operative patient care in a fast-paced outpatient procedural setting. This role involves direct patient interaction, chart documentation, and coordination of care before and after procedures. The nurse will work primarily in Poughkeepsie or Fishkill, with rare travel to Mt. Kisco or Carmel.

Key Responsibilities:

• Conduct thorough pre-op and post-op assessments and document findings in patient charts.
• Enter patient information and consents accurately into electronic medical records.
• Prepare procedure suites and ensure readiness for daily scheduled procedures.
• Make pre-procedure calls to patients and follow up with post-procedure calls to monitor recovery.
• Clean and reset rooms between procedures, maintaining infection control standards.
• Collaborate with clinical teams to ensure seamless patient care and communication.

Required Qualifications:

• Active Registered Nurse (RN) license.
• Minimum of 1 year of RN experience (new graduates may be considered with training).
• Associate’s Degree in Nursing or higher.

Preferred Skills:

• Strong bedside manner and patient care skills.
• Proficiency in IV placement and management.
• Excellent assessment and documentation abilities.

Travel: Occasional travel between Poughkeepsie and Fishkill; rare travel to Mt. Kisco or Carmel (once yearly).
