A K-12 educational facility in Elmira, NY is seeking qualified School Nurses (LPN or RN) to provide essential healthcare services during leave coverage periods. This contract role offers an opportunity to support the health and wellness of students while working a consistent weekday schedule.

Key Responsibilities

• Deliver nursing care aligned with school health policies to children in grades K-12
• Monitor student health status and manage chronic conditions as needed
• Administer medications and provide first aid in accordance with school protocols
• Collaborate with school staff and families to promote a safe, healthy learning environment
• Maintain accurate health records and comply with regulatory requirements

Qualifications

• Current New York State Registered Nurse (RN) license or Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN/LVN) license for school nursing

Position Details

• Schedule: Monday through Friday, 7:45 AM to 2:45 PM (32 hours per week)
• Duration: One 8-12 week maternal leave position and one additional short-term leave coverage
