A K-12 school in Newburgh, NY is seeking a Substitute School Nurse to provide per diem registered nurse (RN) support throughout the current school year. This role offers the opportunity to work in a dynamic educational environment, assisting students with a variety of health needs.

Responsibilities Include

• Providing health room services, including general first aid and health assessments
• Administering diabetic care and insulin as required
• Assisting with toileting and other personal care needs
• Managing student health records and communicating with school staff and families

Qualifications And Experience

• Valid New York State Registered Nurse (RN) license is required
• Previous experience working as a school nurse or in a pediatric/educational setting preferred
• Ability to handle diabetic care, insulin administration, and toileting assistance with professionalism and care
• Strong communication skills and the ability to interact effectively with students, parents, and school personnel
• Flexibility to work on a per diem basis throughout the current school year
