This opportunity is for a skilled Transportation Nurse to provide dedicated care within a K-12 school setting in North Tonawanda, NY. The role is ideal for an RN or LPN interested in a contract position that supports student health on school transportation routes. This position involves working closely with a student who has a seizure disorder, primarily monitoring for symptoms rather than frequent seizure interventions.

Key Responsibilities

• Provide attentive nursing care on school bus routes during AM and PM shifts
• Monitor a student with a seizure disorder, ensuring safety and symptom observation
• Maintain clear communication with school health staff and transportation personnel
• Ensure compliance with health and safety regulations while in transit

Qualifications And Experience

• Current RN or LPN/LVN licensure with school nursing experience preferred
• Ability to work split shifts: 6:45 AM to 8:45 AM and 12:45 PM to 3:45 PM, Monday through Friday
• Experience with seizure disorder management or willingness to learn monitoring protocols
• Strong observational skills and the ability to respond calmly in emergencies
• Comfortable working in a mobile environment on school buses
