A healthcare professional skilled in school nursing is needed to provide dedicated care aboard a school bus for a K-12 student with a seizure disorder. This contract role offers an opportunity to deliver attentive health monitoring in a dynamic educational setting located in Depew, NY.

Responsibilities

• Provide 1:1 nursing support for a student with a seizure disorder during bus transportation.
• Monitor the student for any signs or symptoms associated with seizure activity, maintaining vigilance throughout the commute.
• Manage timely and appropriate responses when necessary to ensure the student's safety.
• Collaborate with school staff and families to maintain clear communication about the student's health needs.

Qualifications

• Licensed Registered Nurse (RN) or Licensed Practical/Vocational Nurse (LPN/LVN) with experience or certification in school nursing.
• Ability to conduct health monitoring in a moving vehicle and handle split shifts effectively.

• Monday through Friday with a split shift schedule:
• Morning: 6:45 AM 8:45 AM
• Afternoon: 12:45 PM 3:45 PM

Compensation

• Registered Nurses: $40 to $45 per hour
• Licensed Practical Nurses: $35 to $40 per hour
