The Part-Time Nursing Lab and Simulation Instructor will be responsible for facilitating the operation of lab and simulation experiences in the Nursing programs to support learning outcomes.  The instructor will collaborate with the simulation, curriculum, and course coordinators to develop and implement simulation activities and ensure adherence to program policies, course objectives, program outcomes, and current simulation and lab best practice and safety measures.  

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES include the following:

• Assists in developing and implementing detailed clinically- based scenarios for the computerized simulators; operates and maintains computerized simulation equipment.
• Provides pre and post briefing sessions with each simulation experience.
• Provides timely, constructive, and thoughtful verbal feedback to students regarding simulation performance, and progress toward the achievement of learning outcomes.
• Prepares and maintains labs and simulated patient care environments with equipment, supplies, media, computers, and materials needed to replicate virtual healthcare settings.
• Collaborates with Course Coordinators and faculty to ensure preparation of lab supplies and equipment based on faculty requests, course schedule, and accurate content.
• Coordinates and supervises students to ensure that simulation experiences meet course objectives; provides individual oversight to students for practice and/or remediation on technical skills as requested by faculty and students.
• Facilitates simulation equipment care and maintenance.
• Engages in professional development opportunities around simulation.
• Assume responsibility for being familiar with and adhering to all college and departmental policies and guidelines.
