Pyramid Consulting is seeking a Med Surg / Telemetry Charge Nurse (RN) for a nursing job in Hiram, Georgia.

Role Overview:

• Oversee and direct daily unit activities during assigned shift
• Responsible for safe, effective patient care and unit operations
• Often assumes a modified patient care assignment
• Acts as a leader coordinating staff schedules, patient flow, physician rounding, and committee work
• Supports team development and fosters collaborative nurse-physician relationships
• Ensures compliance with nursing practice standards and patient advocacy

Core Responsibilities:

• Manage resource availability and staffing needs
• Make patient care assignments, considering staff experience and patient needs
• Conduct daily patient rounds and discharge reviews
• Facilitate communication with physicians and collaborate on care delivery
• Monitor quality and patient safety, implementing corrective actions as needed
• Promote teamwork, documentation accuracy, and an inclusive clinical environment
• Engage in professional development and act as a mentor/preceptor
• Promote evidence-based practice, research, and compliance with regulations

Qualifications:

• Nursing degree from accredited program (Associate required, Bachelor preferred)
• RN licensure (single state or multi-state compact)
• Basic Life Support (BLS) certification required; Advanced Cardiac Life Support (ACLS) preferred
• Minimum 1 year nursing experience; 2 years preferred as charge nurse or relief charge with clinical expertise
