Position Description

Title: Nurse Manager – Progressive Care

Compensation: $95,000 – $120,000/year (based on experience)

Schedule: Full-Time, Days (Administrative Hours, No Weekends)

Location: North Carolina

Position Summary:

A respected hospital in North Carolina is seeking a Nurse Manager to oversee its Progressive Care Unit (40 beds). The Nurse Manager will be responsible for daily operations, ensuring safe, efficient, and high-quality patient care aligned with current evidence-based standards. This leader will manage staffing and resources, foster professional growth among team members, and collaborate with hospital leadership to drive clinical and operational excellence.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Provide direct leadership and supervision for the Progressive Care Unit
  • Ensure compliance with clinical standards, hospital policies, and regulatory requirements
  • Promote patient safety, evidence-based care, and quality outcomes
  • Collaborate with leadership teams on strategic planning, staffing, and innovation initiatives
  • Manage operational budgets and resource allocations
  • Support staff recruitment, onboarding, and retention efforts
  • Mentor and guide professional development of nursing staff

Required Qualifications:

  • Bachelor of Science in Nursing (BSN) required; Master’s degree preferred
  • ADN/BA with MSN accepted in lieu of BSN
  • 5+ years of recent acute care nursing experience
  • Minimum 2 years of leadership/management experience in an acute care setting
  • Current RN license (Compact accepted)
  • National certification in leadership or specialty within 1 year of hire
  • BLS required

Compensation & Incentives:

  • Base salary range: $95,000 – $120,000 annually (based on experience)
  • Sign-on bonus: Case by case
  • Relocation assistance: Case by case
