Position Description

The Department of Nursing invites applications for four full-time, tenure-track faculty in Nursing for the 2026-2027 academic year.

The Community College of Philadelphia seeks a dedicated full-time Nursing Faculty member to join our dynamic department. In this role, you will have the opportunity to teach a range of courses—including classroom lectures, skills labs, seminars, and clinical experiences—while promoting student success through effective instruction and evaluation. You will maintain scheduled classes and office hours, provide support to students via email and personal conferences, and clearly communicate your availability in the course syllabus. Working in collaboration with faculty and administrators to enhance the curriculum, engage in ongoing professional development, and participate in college-wide committees will be essential. Beyond the classroom, you will actively contribute to college events and foster community connections while creating inclusive learning opportunities that respect and celebrate our diverse community. Minimum Qualifications:

  • Master’s degree in nursing required.
  • Current, unencumbered, RN licensure in Pennsylvania required.
  • Current (within the last 2 years) adult medical-surgical nursing experience, gerontology, pediatric or maternity experience.
  • Ability to effectively use teaching strategies and technologies for in-person and/or online learning.
