As a Registered Nurse, you will be a vital clinical leader responsible for overseeing resident care and ensuring the highest standards of quality. Your key responsibilities include:
- Direct Patient Care Oversight: Assess, plan, implement, and evaluate the care provided to residents, ensuring that the care plan is carried out effectively by all nursing staff.
- Medication & Treatment Management: Prepare and administer medications and perform treatments as ordered by a physician, ensuring adherence to the "five rights" of medication administration.
- Physician Order Management: Accurately transcribe physicians' orders to the Medication Administration Records (MARs) and Treatment Administration Records (TARs), and promptly notify the pharmacy of new orders.
- Accurate Documentation: Maintain meticulous, accurate, and timely daily documentation of resident status, care provided, and changes in condition in the electronic health record (EHR).
- Supervision & Leadership: Supervise and provide clinical guidance to CNAs and LPNs on your assigned unit, ensuring proper execution of care tasks and adherence to facility policies.
- Emergency Response: Respond swiftly and effectively to resident emergencies, providing immediate care and initiating appropriate protocols.
- Collaboration: Fulfill all other duties as assigned by the Director of Nursing (DON), working collaboratively with all departments to ensure smooth operations and optimal resident outcomes.
- License: You must hold an Active Registered Nurse (RN) license in the state of Wisconsin in good standing.
- Skills: Strong clinical assessment skills, excellent communication, and a deep commitment to geriatric care.
