Job Overview

The role of the Professional Registered Nurse is to provide quality nursing care in collaboration with the medical staff and within the guidelines of the New Jersey State Nurse Practice Act. It is the responsibility of the Professional Nurse to implement the hospital's mission and goals through established policies, procedures, and performance improvement activities, including all duties as determined by the needs of the department. Implementation of these goals occurs through organization and administration of individualized age-specific professional nursing care to patients within a Family Medicine Residency program.

Required

• Current New Jersey RN license
• ASN or Nursing Diploma (Must agree to complete BSN within 5 years of hire date)
• BLS from the American Heart Association
  
  

Preferred

• BSN
• Bilingual, spanish speaking
• One year outpatient setting experience
  
  

Scheduling

• Standard Weekly Hours - 40 - Day Shift
  
  

Other Job Duties

Responsible for providing a full range of nursing care in an interdisciplinary environment including:

• Facilitating the implementation of the care delivery model and processes
• Assisting with staffing, recruitment and mentoring
• Coordinating with other departments
• Supporting clinical Leadership and Education
• Fostering quality improvement
• Exceptional communication skills
• Ensure stock levels are adequate and timely ordering
