Hiring bonus of $3500

As an Infection Preventionist (IP RN) , you will develop, direct, and monitor the facility's infection prevention and control program and ensure that the facility is in compliance. You will make rounds of nursing units and review environmental sanitation procedures and analyze infectious disease lab reports and consult with the Director of Nursing. You will prepare summaries of all resident/staff infections, corrective actions taken, and results for submission. You'll meet with staff, residents and family members to explain precautions and ensure appropriate hand-hygiene techniques are followed. The Infection Prevention and Control Program includes, but is not limited to, compliance with any state-required certification or licensure, and adherence to CDC's Core Infection Prevention and Control Practices for Safe Healthcare Delivery in All Settings

Compensation for roles varies depending on a wide array of factors including but not limited to the location, role, skill set and level of experience. Must Have
- Bachelors/Associate degree with a minimum of two (2) years’ experience in Long Term Care or human services
- Unencumbered RN license in the state or LPN license
- Must be knowledgeable of nursing practices, procedures, terminology, laws, regulations, and guidelines that pertain to long-term care
- Infection control experience
- Experience in Skilled Nursing Facility (SNF) environment
- Experience with PointClickCare
- This position requires that the employee is able to read, write, speak and understand the spoken English language to ensure the safety and wellbeing of our patients and visitors at the work site when responding to their medical and physical needs.
- Must provide verification of TST (tuberculin skin test) as required by state law and in accordance with Company policy. TSTs will be administered at the work site if required.
