Now Hiring: Seasonal RN – Pediatrics & PICU

Tucson Medical Center is seeking experienced PICU Registered Nurses for seasonal contracts in our Pediatrics and Pediatric Intensive Care Unit (PICU).

Requirements

• Minimum 2 years of recent PICU experience
• Must be licensed in the state of Arizona
• Able to float between Peds and PICU
• Must complete full contract commitment (13, 26, or 39 weeks)

• 13 weeks
• 26 weeks

Compensation

• $60/hour
• Shift differentials:
• 10% for evening shifts (3 PM – 11 PM)
• 17% for night shifts (11 PM – 7 AM)
• Living expense allowance of $750 biweekly for those residing 100+ miles outside Tucson

• 13-week contracts are temporary and not benefits-eligible
• 26- and 39-week contracts are benefits-eligible
• Must pass physical and drug/alcohol screening
• Must not be listed on the DHHS Exclusion List
  
  

Minimum Qualifications

EDUCATION : Graduation from a qualified, nationally-accredited nursing program.

EXPERIENCE : One year of nursing experience in an acute care setting preferred.

LICENSURE OR CERTIFICATION: Current RN licensure permitting work in the State of Arizona and Basic Life Support (BLS) certification required. Some departments such as OR, Ambulatory Surgery, Pediatrics/PICU, PACU, and GI Lab will require advanced life support certification (ACLS and PALS). (Additional certification may be required for some specialties, such as Neonatal Resuscitation for the NICU, EP certification from International Board of Heart Rhythm Examiners for Special Competency in Cardiac Electrophysiology for the Associated Professional or equivalent certification). For Hospice & Pediatrics areas, valid Arizona Fingerprint Clearance Card within 6 months of hire and for Mental Health only Crisis Prevention Instruction (CPI) required.
