Registered Nurse (RN)—Medical ICU (MICU)

WORK LOCATION: Texas Health Dallas is located at 8200 Walnut Hill Ln, Dallas, TX 75231

WORK SCHEDULE: Full Time Nights: 7 PM -7 AM for a total of 36 hours a week with some weekends and holidays.

What You Will Need

  • Diploma of Nursing OR Associate degree in Nursing (ADN) Required
  • BSN preferred.
  • 1 Year Experience as a clinical nurse (RN) or completion of an RN residency program Required;
  • One or more years of ICU experience strongly preferred; would consider Emergency, PACU or PCU
  • Current RN licensure or compact licensure recognized by the Texas Board of Nursing upon hire.
  • BCLS - Basic Cardiac Life Support --Prior to providing Independent patient care and maintained quarterly
  • ACLS - Advanced Cardiac Life Support--within 90 days of hire
  • CPI-Crisis Prevention Intervention training within 60 days of hire is required
  • A high degree of confidentiality, positive interpersonal skills, and ability to function in a fast-paced environment.

  • The professional nurse exhibits understanding of basic human needs.
  • The professional nurse demonstrates an appreciation of unique meanings by:
  • active listening and exemplifying a non-judgmental attitude
  • The professional nurse demonstrates recognition and understanding of patient’s affiliations.
  • Perform other duties as assigned
