Job Summary:

We are seeking a compassionate, detail-oriented, and experienced Registered Nurse (RN) to join our Nuclear Cardiology Department within a leading outpatient health facility in White Plains, NY. In this role, you will be a vital part of a multidisciplinary team, providing direct nursing care and clinical support to patients undergoing nuclear cardiology testing and procedures.

This position offers a Monday through Friday schedule, with no nights, weekends, or holidays—ideal for RNs seeking work-life balance in a professional and technologically advanced environment.

Key Responsibilities:

• Provide direct nursing care to patients undergoing stress testing, myocardial perfusion imaging, and other nuclear cardiology procedures.
• Perform pre-procedure patient assessments including health history, medication review, and vital signs.
• Educate patients and families on procedures, pre- and post-care instructions, and follow-up protocols.
• Administer IV medications and contrast agents under the direction of the cardiologist.
• Monitor patients during stress tests (pharmacologic and exercise) for clinical changes or adverse reactions; respond appropriately to emergencies.
• Collaborate with physicians, nuclear technologists, and other team members to ensure safe and effective patient care.
• Maintain accurate documentation in the electronic medical record (EMR) system.
• Ensure all procedures comply with regulatory and infection control standards.

Qualifications:

• Current NYS Registered Nurse (RN) License – required
• BLS and ACLS Certification – required
• Minimum 2 years of RN experience, preferably in cardiology, critical care, or a procedural area
• Prior experience in nuclear cardiology or stress testing – strongly preferred
• Strong IV skills and knowledge of cardiac pharmacology
• Excellent communication, critical thinking, and patient assessment skills
• Comfortable working in a fast-paced, high-acuity outpatient setting
