To serve as a WOCN, clinical expert to facilitate assessment, planning and intervention of patients who have or are at risk for the development of pressure ulcers, or ostomies. The Advanced Wound Care Nurse will coordinate the development of best practice through a multidisciplinary team approach, continually evaluating performance and coordinating process improvement to ensure Optimal Patient Outcomes.

Education

Bachelor's Degree

Experience

One year of related experience. Requires a working knowledge of standard practices and procedures.

Licenses & Certifications

• Georgia Registered Nurse License or Multistate Nursing License
• Healthcare Provider (CPR)
  
  

Qualifications

• Certified Wound, Ostomy, and Continence Nurse (CWOCN) required within one year of hire.
• One year wound care experience or comparable experience type of care
• Will accept an Associate's degree and 3 years of directly related experience
• Will accept Certified Wound Care Associate (CWCA) and Ostomy Management Specialist (OMS) in lieu of CWOCN.
