Responsibilities:
- Build and maintain strong, collaborative relationships with patients, families, colleagues, and external partners, modeling professionalism, accountability, and cultural awareness.
- Deliver patient- and family-centered care, incorporating teaching, coaching, and guidance throughout the care experience. Serve as a preceptor and support the development of students and new staff.
- Apply the nursing process using Relationship-Based Care principles to create a healing environment, develop individualized care plans, and address clinical, social, and emotional needs. Communicate effectively across the care team to ensure safe, high-quality care.
- Participate in quality improvement initiatives, evidence-based practice, and shared governance to enhance patient outcomes, satisfaction, and the professional practice environment.
- Demonstrate accountability for ongoing professional development, adapt t
- Provide age-appropriate care and demonstrate knowledge of growth and development across the lifespan.
- Strong clinical judgment, critical thinking, problem-solving, and ability to lead application of the nursing process.
- Physical stamina for walking, standing, lifting, and positioning patients. Ability to work in a complex, fast-paced environment with changing priorities.
- Basic Life Support (BLS) OR Cardiopulmonary Resuscitation (CPR)
- Pediatric Advanced Life Support (PALS) within 1 year
- Registered Nurse (RN) OR Temporary Practice Permit (TPP)
- Act 33 with renewal
- Act 34 with renewal
- Act 73 FBI Clearance with renewal
- Current licensure either in the state where the facility is located or, if the facility is in a state covered by the multistate Nursing Licensure Compact (NLC) agreement, a multistate license issued by a participating NLC state. Hires and current employees working on an out-of-state NLC license who later change their residency to the state where the facility is also located will have 60 days upon changing their residency to apply for licensure within that state.
