Registered Nurse (RN) Emergency Department

Work location: Texas Health Cleburne, 201 Walls Dr., Cleburne, TX 76033

Work hours: PRN “As Needed, rotating schedule 7:00 am – 7:00 pm , 11a-11p, 3p-3a or 7:00 pm -7:00 am– PRN II requires 3 shifts in a 6 week schedule with a minimum of 1 weekend shift.

Here’s What You Need

  • Associate degree from an accredited Nursing program
  • BSN preferred
  • One year experience as a registered nurse in the ER required.
  • BCLS – prior to providing independent care and maintained quarterly
  • ACLS – within 90 days of hire
  • CPI – Crisis Prevention Intervention Training within 90 days of hire
  • PALS - Pediatric Advanced Life Support – within 90 Days of hire
  • TNCC - Trauma Nursing Core Course - within 12 Months of hire

What You Will Do

Delivers care to patients utilizing the Nursing Process

  • Assesses the patient
  • Plans the care of the patient
  • Intervenes as appropriate
  • Evaluates the effectiveness of interventions
  • Incorporates age specific safety/infection control measures into patient care.
  • Initiates action to meet patient and/or significant others need for information
  • Maintains continuity of patient care inter-shift, inter-hospital, and while expediting out of hospital transfers.
