Greater Cincinnati Behavioral Health Services (GCBHS) has an immediate opening for a Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN) or Registered Nurse (RN) in our medication assisted treatment program to provide nursing services to adults experiencing substance use disorder in Batavia.

- Provides direct nursing care in accordance with the Ohio Board of Nursing and established GCB policies, procedures, and protocols in a medication assisted treatment program serving individuals with substance use disorders.
- Follows the steps in the nursing process to implement and monitor a holistic plan of care for behavioral health patients, including patients with substance use disorders. The GCB nurse may serve as a coordinator in collaboration with other disciplines for purposes of coordination of patient care issues.
- Monitors, records, and communicates patient condition and carries out physician and nursing orders.
- Perform duties under the direction of the medical prescribers, psychiatric prescribers and/or RN.
- These duties include but are not limited to: vitals, phlebotomy, point-of-care labs and testing, vaccinations and psychiatric medication administration.
- Prepare clients and assist physicians with patient exams and/or treatment; obtain vital signs, draw laboratory specimens.
- Provide education and training to staff, family members and other significant patient supports related to illness, disease, and medications.
- Licensure by the Ohio Board of Nursing as a Registered Nurse or a Licensed Practical Nurse is required.
- Experience in working with individuals who have substance use disorders and/or co-occurring disorders is preferred but not required (Selected candidate must be open to training)
