Summary

Provides care and coordinates the delivery of oncology treatments, often in intensive care conditions, to assigned patients in a medical oncology facility. Supervises and provides nursing care to cancer patients. Monitors patient's condition, develops care plans, and symptom management protocols, and administers medication.

Education

*Minimum Education and/or: Graduate of an accredited nursing school (AD in Nursing, RN Diploma, or BSN); or if attended an approved nursing school must have two years of recent acute care hospital experience in the past three years.

Experience

• One year experience required
  
  

Credentials

• Registered Nurse
• BLS and ACLS through AHA or Red Cross
• Oncology nurse certification
• Oncology chemo/Bio certification
