Job Type:Part Time | M-F, 8 am- 4 pm No weekends or Holidays

More about our team

The Wound Clinic is open Monday through Friday 8:00am - 4:00pm. We are closed on weekends and Holidays. We have four providers who see patients throughout the week, as well as, daily nurse visits. Patients are assigned to specific nurses each day. We are a friendly, team-oriented group and take great pride in providing the best wound care for our patients!

How you'll contribute

A RN Wound Carewho excels in this role:

  • Coordinates the patient care of personalized, efficient care with respect for patient's spiritual and cultural differences in accordance with the PA State Board of Nursing Licensure requirement and ANA Scope of Standard of Practice.

  • Initiates individualized patient and family teaching plan.

  • Makes decisions and judgments in preventing, analyzing and resolving patient care concerns using critical thinking skills.

  • Effectively communicates patient's status and anticipates situations that prevent/minimize adverse outcomes.

  • Continuously maintain/updates wound care knowledge with new and current treatment modalities.

  • Maintains proficiency in all aspects of documentation.

  • Participates in Performance/Process Improvement activities.

  • Demonstrates understanding and knowledge of patient's rights and responsibilities.

  • Collaborates with physician as part of the Interdisciplinary Team.

  • Demonstrates knowledge and understanding of wounds, treatments, interventions and expected outcomes.

  • Oversees, provides and coordinates delivery of patient care for wound patients. Provides direct care and oversees/coordinates total quality care. Monitors utilization and outcomes.

  • Provides input on budget issues affecting efficient care delivery, judicious use of products, clinic organization and staffing patterns.

  • Performs proper hand hygiene. Follows all infection control policies and procedures

What we're looking for
Applicants must have Graduate of a RN program and a current nurse's license in the state of Pennsylvania or a current multistate license (MSL) from compact member states/territories required. Additional requirements include:

  • Associate's degree is required; a Bachelor's degree is preferred
  • Prior wound care experience
  • Minimum three years experience with direct hands-on care preferred
  • Basic Life Support (BLS)
  • CPR
  • Wound care certification preferred
