DaVita is looking for an experienced Nurse Informaticist to help us transform and improve kidney care by supporting our innovative, fast-paced, and growing business of DaVita Integrated Kidney Care.
The Nurse Informaticist will be responsible for understanding clinical user needs and translating them into IT requirements that help to optimize clinical workflows, patient care, and population-level health outcomes. He/she will be a part of the Medical Informatics team and serve as a liaison between the clinical users and the IT developers. This position requires close cross-functional partnerships across product team, IT, customers, vendors, and business stakeholders within the organization.
Responsibilities include, but are not limited to:
· Understanding and translating clinical objectives into IT solutions to meet strategic goals. Eliciting requirements from product managers, product directors, product owners, UX teammates, business SMEs, development and QA leads, and executive leadership.
· Ensuring that IT tools are meeting the objectives of clinical teams, business end-users and technical teams. Leading and supporting activities such as requirement gathering and crafting sessions, solution design sessions, User Acceptance Testing (UAT), post-deployment feedback sessions, and status meetings.
· Creating, supporting, and updating requirement artifacts such as Solution Requirements Specifications, use cases, screen layouts, process flows, functional and non-functional requirements, and other design artifacts as needed.
· Leading clinical workflow exploration and education sessions with clinical teammates and external partners.
· Acting as a liaison between the clinical delivery teams, the clinical and business partners that will be using tools and solutions,as well as interacting with development engineers, QA analysts and related IT teams.
· Reviewing and providing feedback for training materials and product communications. Conducting train-the-trainer and demo sessions as needed for clinical partners, trainers, helpdesk/support teams, and business partners.
· Supporting production deployments by ensuring a smooth delivery with communication to product management and product owners in the event of any deployment issues. Conducting validation on deployed functionality to ensure everything is working as expected immediately after a production deployment, and coordinating business partner validation of deployed functionality during a production release.
Skills of a successful Nurse Informaticist include:
· Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
· Outstanding communication and presentation skills
· Attention to detail to write clear product requirements
· Ability to translate complex problems into easily understood concepts
· Demonstrated ability to manage multiple projects, meet deadlines, and adjust priorities appropriately in an evolving work environment with shifting time frames
· Exceptionally skilled in coordinating and facilitating meetings with both face-to-face and remote attendees
· Self-starter with high degree of initiative and follow through
Ideal candidate will have the following qualifications and experience:
· Bachelor of Science in Nursing (BSN)
· Current Registered Nurse Licensure
· 2-3 years of clinical nursing experience, preferably working with complex chronic disease patients
· A degree or certification in nursing informatics
· 2+ years of project management or configuration with Cerner or Epic with at least 1 health system, hospital, or other large enterprise.
Travel required up to 25%

This position will be open for a minimum of three days.
The Salary Range for the role is $84,000.00 - $133,000.00/year.
