How you'll contribute

A Registered Nurse who excels in this role:

  • Performs comprehensive wound assessments, including wound etiology, staging, measurements, and documentation.
  • Develops and implements individualized wound care treatment plans using evidence-based practice.
  • Provides advanced wound care interventions such as specialty dressings, wound vac/negative pressure therapy, and debridement as allowed by scope of practice.
  • Collaborates with physicians, bedside nursing, nutrition, therapy, and case management to support optimal wound healing.
  • Leads pressure injury prevention initiatives, completes audits, and supports facility quality goals related to wound care.
  • Provides ongoing wound care training, education, and clinical support to nursing staff.
  • Ensures compliance with infection prevention standards and regulatory documentation requirements.
  • Monitors patient progress, adjusts treatment plans, and participates in interdisciplinary rounds.
  • Integrates evidence-based practices into operations and clinical protocols.
  • Other duties as requested.

What we're looking for

Applicants should have a current North Carolina state or compact state RN license.

Additional requirements include:

  • Applicants should have a current RN license to practice in NC (NC licensure or multi-state (compact) license).
  • Associate's degree in Nursing required. Bachelor's degree in Nursing preferred.
  • Requires critical thinking skills, decisive judgment and the ability to work with minimal supervision.
  • Must be able to work in a stressful environment and take appropriate action.
