Department: Intensive Care Unit
Shift: Full-time, Nights
Bonus: $15,000.00 Sign-On
The Registered Nurse (RN) in the Intensive Care Unit is responsible for the delivery of safe, high-quality patient care through assessment, planning, implementation, and evaluation to adult and geriatric patients. The RN addresses the psychosocial, physical, and overall care needs of patients, ensuring safe and effective treatment in a critical care environment.

The Registered Nurse (RN) in the Intensive Care Unit is responsible for the delivery of safe, high-quality patient care through assessment, planning, implementation, and evaluation to adult and geriatric patients. The RN addresses the psychosocial, physical, and overall care needs of patients, ensuring safe and effective treatment in a critical care environment.
Responsibilities
- Deliver direct patient care in accordance with nursing standards and unit protocols.
- Continuously assess, monitor, and document patients’ physiologic and hemodynamic status.
- Collaborate with physicians and healthcare team members to communicate patient conditions and changes promptly.
- Maintain and ensure proper functioning of ICU equipment and supplies; prepare and obtain necessary materials for patient care.
- Monitor and support patients during diagnostic and therapeutic procedures.
- Participate in departmental performance improvement and continuous quality improvement initiatives.
- Support the Cardiovascular Laboratory team as needed, ensuring readiness of procedure rooms and availability of necessary equipment and supplies.
Education and Work Experience
- Current and valid state RN License.
- Current BLS (AHA) certificate upon hire and maintain current.
- Completion of Critical Care Course preferred.
- Current ACLS certificate 30 days upon hire and maintain current.
- Minimum of one year as a staff RN in acute care hospital, critical care preferred.
- Critical Care RN (CCRN) Certification preferred.
- Bachelor of Science in Nursing (BSN) preferred.
