Position Summary

The Registered Nurse - Pediatrics / PICU delivers evidence-based, family-centered care to pediatric and adolescent patients requiring both medical and intensive care.

This job is ideal for nurses who are passionate about pediatric and critical care, thrive in fast-paced settings, and want to make a meaningful difference in the lives of young patients.

Key Responsibilities

  • Provide high-quality, compassionate nursing care to pediatric and critical-care patients.
  • Collaborate with physicians, respiratory therapists, and other care team members to develop and implement individualized treatment plans.
  • Educate and support patients’ families throughout hospitalization and discharge.

Qualifications

  • Education: Associate’s Degree in Nursing or Nursing Diploma required; BSN preferred.
  • Experience: Minimum 1 year of Pediatric Intensive Care Unit (PICU) experience required.
  • Licensure: Current Maryland Registered Nurse License.

Certifications

  • BLS - American Heart Association required
  • PALS required within 6 months of hire
  • Oncology certification required within 1 year of hire
