Position Description

Provide advanced nursing care in a specialized Long-Term Acute Care (LTAC) and telemetry setting, managing complex patient needs with critical thinking and clinical expertise. This role involves oversight of patient care delivery through the nursing process, ensuring adherence to state Nurse Practice Act and hospital policies. The position demands leadership in coordinating and supervising staff, prioritizing patient care, and maintaining clinical competence through ongoing education.

Key Qualifications And Experience

  • Active Registered Nurse license in Ohio or multi-state compact license
  • Minimum of 2 to 5 years of progressive nursing experience in acute or LTAC settings
  • Current ACLS and BLS certifications from the American Heart Association (required)
  • Expertise in ventilator and tracheostomy care, central line management, and preferred experience in wound care
  • Demonstrated ability to apply critical thinking and clinical judgment in high-acuity environments
  • Strong leadership skills with experience in directing patient care teams

Primary Responsibilities

  • Execute patient care using the nursing process and evidence-based practices in compliance with regulatory requirements
  • Delegate tasks and supervise nursing personnel to maintain quality and efficiency of patient services
  • Monitor patient status, respond to changes, and coordinate with multidisciplinary teams
  • Maintain documentation and clinical competencies through continuing education
  • Ensure safe and effective delivery of care for telemetry and LTAC patients
