- Provide safe, evidence-based care to critically ill infants.
- Act as a clinical leader by assessing, planning, delegating, and using independent judgment to direct other healthcare team members.
- Collaborate with physicians, respiratory therapists, and other disciplines to ensure coordinated patient care.
- Participate in hourly rounding and follow safety guidelines and best practices.
- Supervise and mentor other members of the healthcare team.
- Minimum Requirements
- Experience: At least 1 year of current hospital-based acute care RN experience in a NICU.
- Education: Nursing degree from an accredited nursing school.
- Certifications:
- Current RN license in the State of Arizona (or compact license),
- CPR
- NRP (required upon orientation completion)
- ACLS as applicable by facility/department
- Preferred Requirements
- Experience: At least 1 year of Level III NICU experience, including care of infants requiring conventional ventilators, HFOV, central lines, and therapeutic hypothermia.
- Education: BSN
- Certifications: Specialty certification a plus.
