About The Role

The Registered Nurse of Psychiatric and Behavioral Health care supports assessment, stabilization, and therapeutic intervention for patients presenting with acute psychiatric needs.

At Northwest Hospital, you will gain confidence, critical behavioral health skills, and advancement opportunities within a hospital investing in modern mental health treatment.

Responsibilities

  • This role will cross train in both the inpatient psych unit and the newly constructed dedicated Behavioral Health Emergency Department. After onboarding, you will have the option to float between the two units.
  • Provide therapeutic psychiatric care to patients in crisis
  • Support de-escalation, stabilization, and safety-centered treatment

Qualifications

  • RN license in Maryland
  • American Heart Association BLS
  • Psychiatric or Behavioral Health experience preferred
  • Emergency Behavioral Health experience preferred but not required
