Provide advanced nursing care in a dynamic Progressive Care Unit (PCU) setting within a 15-bed unit, including a 3-bed step-down ICU and 12 telemetry beds. This role demands expertise in telemetry monitoring and acute care nursing, supporting patients transitioning between intensive care and general wards. The schedule involves 36 hours per week following orientation, with no call obligations.

Qualifications And Desired Experience

• Minimum of 1 year acute hospital nursing experience within the past year
• Preferred experience in Progressive Care and telemetry monitoring
• Current Hawaii RN license required by start date
• ACLS certification preferred
• PALS and NIHSS certifications are highly desirable
  
  

Responsibilities

• Deliver primary nursing care with a focus on telemetry monitoring and strip interpretation
• Perform fingerstick blood sugar monitoring and utilize specialized medical equipment including BIPAP and continuous cardiac monitors
• Utilize Meditech for electronic charting and Pyxis for medication administration
• Float across acute care units including Medical, Surgical/Pediatrics, ICU, and Emergency Room as needed
• Adhere to professional dress code standards by wearing scrubs
