A registered nurse with step-down or progressive care unit experience is needed for a contract opportunity in the Blue Springs, MO area. This role involves providing specialized nursing care to patients requiring close monitoring and intervention.

Key Responsibilities

• Deliver exceptional patient care in a progressive care unit (PCU) setting
• Monitor and manage high acuity patients, including administration of drips and arterial line care
• Utilize expertise with BiPAP and Airvo respiratory support devices
• Collaborate with interdisciplinary teams to ensure comprehensive patient management
• Adhere to facility policies, maintaining a nicotine-free environment
  
  

Qualifications And Experience

• Current RN license with a minimum of 1 year PCU nursing experience
• Certifications in ACLS, BLS, and NIHSS required
• Preferred experience with high acuity patients, arterial lines, and advanced respiratory support
• Ability to float as needed and work major holidays with scheduling accommodations
• Strong clinical judgment and patient-centered care approach
  
  

Schedule

• 12-hour night shifts, from 6:45 PM to 7:15 AM
• Every other weekend rotation
• Orientation Monday through Friday, daytime hours
