Private Duty Nurse | RN – Family-Centered Home Care

Location: Anaheim Hills, CA (home-based care) • Orange County / Inland Empire

Employment Type: Part-time or Full-time (multiple shifts available)

Pay: $38–$45+ per hour (DOE)

About the Role:

We’re hiring compassionate RN nurses to provide one-on-one home care for a 24-year-old patient with complex medical needs. This is a long-term, stable position with consistent hours, a supportive family, and the chance to build a meaningful nurse–patient relationship.

✅ What You’ll Do

• Provide daily tracheostomy care & suctioning (incl. emergency airway management)
• Administer medications via G-tube
• Perform DDAVP (vasopressin) subcutaneous injections (2x daily)
• Run nebulizer treatments (Albuterol)
• Monitor sodium balance (i-STAT/CHEM8+) & chart fluid intake/output
• Maintain skin integrity (barrier creams, regular checks)
• Assist with safe transfers/lifts (~105 lbs)
• Support ADLs: dressing, hygiene, oral care, skincare
• Encourage activities: music, reading, light exercises, community outings
• Complete accurate charting & communication with care team

Schedule

• Primary shift: Saturday & Sunday Only

Must-Have Qualifications

• Active California RN license
• Compassionate, loving attitude, patient, family-centered approach
• Hands-on experience with trach & G-tube care
• Strong charting/documentation skills
• Ability to safely transfer/lift up to ~105 lbs
• CNA Experience

Preferred Experience

• DDAVP injections, seizure management, fluid balance protocols
• Pediatric/young adult complex care
• Comfort with feeding pumps, i-STAT analyzer, pulse oximetry
• CPR/BLS certification
