Provide advanced nursing care in an acute Progressive Care Unit specializing in cardiac and complex medical cases. This contract opportunity is based in Plattsburgh, NY, within a 341-bed facility known for its commitment to patient-centered care. Care for adult patients with diagnoses including Acute Coronary Syndrome, heart failure, post cardiac catheterization, and other critical cardiac conditions requiring telemetry and intensive monitoring.

Responsibilities

• Deliver comprehensive nursing care to adult patients with acute cardiac and medical conditions.
• Monitor and manage telemetry and invasive drips, including insulin and cardiac medications.
• Collaborate effectively with multidisciplinary teams including respiratory and anesthesia services.
• Participate in floating assignments to appropriate units as part of the Resource Float team.
• Maintain adherence to unit-specific protocols including ACLS and telemetry requirements.
• Use EPIC for documentation and MAK for medication administration.
• Follow professional appearance standards including navy blue or white scrubs, closed-toe nonskid shoes, and minimal jewelry with groomed hair.
  
  

Qualifications & Desired Experience

• Registered Nurse (RN) with a minimum of 1 year clinical and specialty experience in progressive care or telemetry.
• Current BLS and ACLS certifications required.
• Experience with telemetry monitoring and advanced cardiac nursing preferred.
• Ability to work 7a and 7p shifts with weekend and holiday rotations.
• Flexibility to float and work within the facilitys posted scheduling system.

• 7:00 AM 7:00 PM shift rotations
• Every other weekend and holiday shifts as needed
