Emergency Department Highlights

- Fast-paced, high-volume department averaging 200 patients per day
- Nursing Diploma in Nursing required or
- Associate’s degree in nursing required or
- Bachelor’s degree in nursing preferred
- 1 year of experience as a registered nurse or completion of an RN residency program required.
- 1 year of emergency department acute care experience strongly preferred
- RN – Registered upon hire required and
- BCLS – Basic Cardiac Life Support prior to providing independent patient care and maintained quarterly required and
- ACLS – Advanced Cardiac Life Support within 90 days of hire required and
- PALS – Pediatric Advanced Life Support within 90 days of hire required and
- CPI – Crisis Prevention Intervention training annually within 90 days required and
- TNCC – Trauma Nursing Core Course within 6 months required or
- ATCN – Advanced Trauma Care Nurse within 6 months required
- A high degree of confidentiality, positive interpersonal skills, and ability to function in a fast-paced environment.
