REQUIRED SKILLS / CERTS / EXP:

Minimum Years of Experience: 2 years - Fast pace ER with a strong PEDS presence, experience with PEDS population highly preferred

Traveler Experience: First time travelers NOT ACCEPTED

Locals Accepted / Rate Difference: $15 rate decrease for travelers that live within 50 miles of facility

Epic Experience Required

Certs: ACLS, CPI, PALS, TNCC

Skills: General Emergency Department-Combined Adult/Pedi, Interpretation of dysrhythmias, Management of dysrhythmias, Triage,

PREFERRED SKILLS / CERTS / EXP: Pediatric experience

Float Requirement: Floating Expectations

• Helping Hands/ Team Nursing approach
• Will assist in being Floated to ICU and ED for helping hands

You will not take a patient that does not match your clinical assignment or team

Weekend Requirement: Every other weekend required

PATIENT DIAGNOSES: All chief complaints and diagnoses ranging from simple to complex across the lifespan to include:

• Minor cuts and scrapes
• Fractures
• Abdominal Pain
• Chest Pain
• Shortness of Breath/Respiratory Concerns
• Oncological Emergencies
• Neurological Emergencies
• Trauma
• Psychiatric Emergencies
• Abuse/Assault/Neglect Evaluations
• Substance Use Disorder
• GI/GU/OB

UNIT SYSTEMS (Medication, Documentation, Communication): Omnicell, Epic, SBAR, Voalte

UNIT ORIENTATION: 36 hours - 1 week class/clinical time

SCRUBS: Any color
