Position Description
University of Pittsburgh Physicians is hiring a full-time Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN) to support their Greater Pittsburgh OB/GYN office in Bethel Park!
This position will work Monday through Friday, 7:30am to 4:30pm with no weekends or holidays! One shift until 6:00pm per week may be required, as needed. This position will be responsible for assisting RNs with their daily duties, such as test results, OB teaching, and ONAF submissions. The LPN will also assist rooming of patients, injections, vital signs and assisting with answering phones and scheduling appointments as needed.

Sign-On Bonus Details:
- $7,500 sign-on bonus available for nurses with over one year of experience
- $5,000 sign-on bonus available for Graduate Nurses and nurses with less than one year of experience

- Draw blood.
- Comply with requirements of appropriate regulatory agencies (i.e. OSHA, CLIA, PA Department of Health).
- Administer medications including oral, SQ, IM and IV drip.
- Assist physicians with examinations, diagnostic procedures and treatments.
- Assess patient's general condition and take vital signs and weight.
- Comply with all policies and procedures.
- Perform IV therapy under direction of Registered Nurse.
- Document all activities/interventions, patient/family responses, medication dispensed/prescribed, etc., in the medical record.
- Maintain strict confidentiality related to medical records and other data.
- Promote wellness by providing patient education materials, communicating physician advice/instructions.
